More on OER Debate

Sir John Daniel, President and CEO of the Commonwealth of Learning has now posted a statement to open the debate on the Open Educational Resources movement being a flawed because it is based on the unsupported assumption that academics are willing to share their materials. eLearning Africa debate on OER

The program for the 6th International Conference on ICT for Development, Education and Training in Tanzania in May is available online. Among others things on a varied and engaging sessions list is a debate on the motion:

This house believes that the OER movement is fundamentally flawed because it is based on the false assumption that education institutions are willing to share resources freely and openly.
